Vintage Edwardian Opal and Diamond Ring

For sale here is an Edwardian Opal and Diamond ring. It is Hallmarked for the Chester Assay Office and the date letter indicates 1905.

The band is 18 Ct yellow gold. The setting contains 3 Opals and 4 small diamonds.

The largest Opal has a calculated weight of 0.14 Carats and is pristine, with no marks or cracks, remarkable considering this ring is over 100 years old. The two companion Opals have a combined calculated weight of 0.06 Carats - giving a total carat weight for the opals of 0.2 Carats. The four small diamonds have a combined weight of just over 0.01 carats.

The ring weighs 2.71 grams in total, which yield a scrap value of just under £50.00

The band has been sized as a UK O, but being 18 Ct gold it could easily be sized to fit any required measurement. This is a wonderful chance to obtain this stunning 110 year old ring. We will consider all offers and have set no lower limit. Similar rings have sold here and elsewhere for £300 and up. When comparing prices, please remember we are offering free postage, in itself worth up to £10.00.

Overseas buyers, please note that if a customs declaration is required for your location, we will not under any circumstances under-declare value or mark it as a gift. As the buyer you are wholly responsible for any customs fees and charges. Acceptance of this is a condition of bidding/buying.
