LUPIN DENSIFLORUS - YELLOW LUPIN THIS IS A LISTING FOR A PACK OF 15 SEEDS. Lupinus densiflorus(Wide-bannered lupine, Chick lupine or Yellow Lupine), is a species oflupine native to western North America: from southwestern BritishColumbia; south through Oregon and California, including the MojaveDesert; and into Baja California. There is also a distinct populationin South America, with locations in central Chile and westernArgentina.It is an annual plant growing to 80-centimetre (31 in) tall. Theleaves are palmately compound with 5-11 leaflets 1-centimetre (0.39in)-5-centimetre (2.0 in) long and up to 1-centimetre (0.39 in) broad.The flowers are generally yellow, although lighter almost creamflowers do occur; they are produced in open whorls on an erect spike.Lupinus densiflorus grows from sea level in the north of its range, upto 1,600-metre (5,200 ft) high in Southern California. The majority oflupins do not thrive in rich heavy soils and this no exception, itneeds an open soil to allow for the formation of a taproot whichpromotes flowering.
