Packet of 5 seeds.

Very free flowering & distinctly garden worthy, this is a hard to find South African native that will makes an excellent shrub or small tree, 2 - 3 m tall.

Beautiful sprays of pink aging purple/lilac, pea-like flowers cover the shrub from early Spring through the Summer.  The pretty, compound leaves are covered with silky, silvery hairs, often causing the foliage to appear gray-blue. Another striking feature is the thick, corky bark, which develops at about 6 months old. Rather slow growing, Corkbush will begin to flower in the 3rd or 4th year, but is well worth waiting for.  An excellent specimen for a large container. Also used for Bonsai. Frost Hardy to -12 Deg C or Zone 8.
