Packet of 25+ seeds.

A native of the Northern Territories and Queensland, this is a medium sized tree, with characteristic peeling bark revealing a stark white trunk - leading to both its common and Latin names.

A semi-evergreen, it sheds a fair proportion of its leaves during the winter months. It has creamy/yellow flowers that are borne in early summer and are followed by the nuts containing a large quantity of seed.

It is hardy to Zone 9/10, but does not tolerate prolonged frost. Growing up to 15 metres tall with a spread of up to 10 metres. It responds well to a sunny position. It can be easily pruned to keep it to manageable dimensions or for use as an unusual bonsai specimen, as it develops it characteristic bark.
